The Senate passed their school finance bill this morning by a 23-16 vote. This bill provides less funding than the House version that was passed earlier. Next, the House can choose to accept the Senate version or request a conference committee to develop a single bill.
Late last night the House voted down a conference committee tax bill, so there is still no money to fund the state budget for the next two years.
