The annual Kansas Social Studies conference is scheduled for November 5-6, 2017. The conference will be held in Wichita, Kansas at the historic Hotel at Old Town Conference Center and is co-sponsored by KCEE, KGA, KSHS, KSDE, KCSS, and KCHE. You don’t want to miss it!
The conference theme is focused on the teaching and learning of historical thinking skills and assessments with a special highlight on economics and the state board’s Kansans Can vision. You’ll leave with new details about the upcoming Spring 2018 social studies assessment, civic engagement strategies, tech integration tools, current best practices, and the latest from the Kansas Council for Economic Education. We have begun accepting presentation proposals. If you'd like to share a great teaching tool, lesson plan, or strategy that would benefit your colleagues, please submit a proposal to present. Find out more about presentation proposals as well as other conference details and registration information HERE. We look forward to gathering in November!
